  Standards   Description
  Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) Standard   This institute is a leading authority in technical areas ranging from computer engineering, biomedical technology and telecommunications, to electric power, aerospace and consumer electronics, among others.

The institute produces 30 percent of the world's published literature in electrical engineering, computers and control technology and has more than 800 active standards with 700 under development.
       
  Good Automated Manufacturing Practice (GAMP)   This Guide exists to help suppliers of automated systems to the pharmaceutical industry to ensure that systems are developed following good practice, and to provide documentary evidence that their systems meet the agreed specifications.
       
  International Standard Organization (ISO)   A network of national standards institutes from 145 countries working in partnership with international organizations, governments, industry, business and consumer representatives. A bridge between public and private sectors.
